Know When To Hold 'Em And When To Fold 'Em

Hey ya'll! It's been awhile; I've missed you all! As I was driving and having a little talk with the Lord, you know that's when He's the loudest when we're the quietest and He dropped in my spirit that good ol' song and saying "you gotta know when to hold 'em and when to fold 'em"!

I began to think about certain situations, relationships, jobs, ideas, etc. that we're supposed to hold onto; that we're supposed to fight for; that we're supposed to develop; that we're supposed to cultivate; that we're supposed to make strong! You know, there are certain things and people that we are supposed to put the work into, and go that extra effort for. And then there are some that we're supposed to let go of, and realize that season of that situation, that relationship, or that idea is over and it is no longer serving us and we have to move on. I feel like for me, I always hold on to the "folds" and fold on the "holds", if that makes sense. It is about really being in tune and listening to that still small voice that God will whisper to us and let us know what to do. Then it is up to us to be OBEDIENT (chapter 1 of "The Beauty in the Breakdown"; shameless plug), and to listen to what God is instructing us to do.

So, I encourage you today to know when to hold 'em or when to fold 'em, to have the strength to do both because either one takes a lot of strength, courage, willpower and obedience, and then be okay and have peace with the outcome of either decision. Some people say it is better to let go than to be dragged, but then you also don't want to give up on something or someone God has specifically designed for you and that person or that situation to be in relationship with. Let God do GOD!

I hope this has blessed you today. I love you all! Don't forget to pick up your copy of "The Beauty in the Breakdown" and follow @_talithaktyler on IG for more!

XO,

TT
